PSG vs Tottenham Hotspur: prediction & betting odds 13 August 2025

The UEFA Super Cup 2025 match between PSG (France) and Tottenham (England) will take place on August 13 at the Friuli Stadium in Udine, Italy. PSG vs. Tottenham: prediction and betting odds, statistics.

PSG

Last season, PSG won the Champions League for the first time in their history. Luis Enrique's team finished in the middle of the group stage standings but excelled in the playoffs. Their 5-0 thrashing of Inter in the final was historic, as such a scoreline had never been seen in a Champions League final. Additionally, PSG won the national championship, the French Cup, and the French Super Cup. However, their defeat to Chelsea in the Club World Cup final was a setback.

Defender Ilya Zabarnyi has joined the team.

  • The club has won 10 of their last 12 Champions League matches (2 losses).
  • PSG scored at least twice in 9 of their last 12 Champions League games.
  • At least three goals have been scored in 4 of PSG's last 5 Champions League matches.

Predicted lineup for PSG (4-3-3)

Lucas Chevalier – Nuno Mendes, William Pacho, Marquinhos, Achraf Hakimi – Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha, Warren Zaire-Emery – Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele.

Midfielder Joao Neves will miss the match due to disciplinary action. Midfielder Senny Meyulu is injured. Additionally, goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is not included in the squad for the match.

Tottenham

The Londoners, having won the Europa League, claimed their first trophy in 17 years. On the international stage, it was the first time in 41 years that the British team triumphed in any tournament. The team navigated the Europa League smoothly, suffering only two losses (10 wins, 3 draws). In the final, Tottenham defeated Manchester United 1-0. However, in the national championship, the club struggled and finished in 17th place.

In the offseason, Thomas Frank, previously with Brentford, took over as head coach. The signing of forward Mohammed Kudus is also noteworthy. Meanwhile, club legend Son Heung-min has decided to continue his career in the USA.

  • The English team has not lost in their last 6 Europa League matches (5 wins, 1 draw).
  • The team has not conceded more than one goal in their last 8 Europa League games.
  • Tottenham scored in the first half in 5 of their last 6 Europa League matches.

Predicted lineup for Tottenham (4-3-3)

Guglielmo Vicario – Djed Spence, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Pedro Porro – Lucas Bergvall, Joao Palhinha, Rodrigo Bentancur – Wilson Odobert, Dominic Solanke, Mohammed Kudus.

Due to injuries, midfielders Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, and defenders Destiny Udogie, Radu Dragusin will miss the match, while midfielder Yves Bissouma is out due to disciplinary measures.

Match Prediction: PSG vs. Tottenham

Last season would have been perfect for PSG if not for the defeat in the Club World Cup final. However, even in that tournament, held under challenging conditions, the team remained true to their attacking style. Luis Enrique's side scored at least twice in 5 of their 7 matches at the Club World Cup. It's no surprise, given they were the second-highest scoring club in the 2024/25 Champions League.

The Londoners finished just above the relegation zone in last season's Premier League. However, their goal tally would not have looked out of place among the top half of the table. Tottenham regularly found the net in the 2024/25 Europa League, failing to score in only one match.

PSG will likely continue to play from a position of strength this season, which will pose problems for any opponent's defense. Given that Tottenham ranked fifth from the bottom in terms of goals conceded in the last Premier League season, I expect the Parisians to score in the upcoming match. It's worth noting that the Londoners lost their last friendly match 0-4 to Bayern. The French side is not perfect defensively either, so there will be opportunities for the English team as well. My prediction: Total over 2.5 goals

Betting tips 13 August 2025

Lisbon plays host to the first-ever competitive meeting between Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspur, with the UEFA Super Cup on the line. For the Parisians, it’s a chance to make amends for their FIFA Club World Cup final defeat, while for the Londoners it’s Thomas Frank’s first official test as head coach.

Paris Saint-Germain arrive as clear favourites. The club kept its core intact over the summer, adding only goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier and defender Illia Zabarnyi. All key stars remain, with nine players nominated for the Ballon d’Or. The team didn’t play friendlies, but impressed at the Club World Cup — winning five matches to nil (16:0) and suffering only two defeats in the tournament (0:1 to Botafogo and 0:3 to Tottenham Hotspur).

Tottenham Hotspur are in transition. With Son Heung-min gone and James Maddison sidelined with a cruciate injury, they have lost their main creative sparks. Summer performances have been unconvincing — a heavy 0:4 loss to Bayern Munich and a 2:2 draw with League One side Wycombe Wanderers, conceding twice. The midfield is notably weaker than PSG’s in both quality and experience, and newcomers Mohammed Kudus, João Palhinha, and Luka Vušković are still settling in.

Tottenham Hotspur are unlikely to dictate a high tempo, while Paris Saint-Germain’s superior quality should be evident from the first whistle. The Parisians look well set to lift yet another trophy ahead of the new season.
